BLT Bruschetta Dip

Ingredients

3.5 ounces (about 1 cup) Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Crumbles, divided

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup finely diced shallot

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 cup sour cream

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup shredded romaine lettuce

4 slices bacon, sliced thin and cooked crisp

1/3 cup tomatoes

Sliced baguette

Directions

  1. Remove 1 tablespoon Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola; set aside.
  2. Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shallot and pour in vinegar and sauté, stirring frequently until shallots are browned and caramelized, 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  5. Spread in a shallow bowl and layer with lettuce, tomatoes and bacon. Add remaining Treasure Cave® Gorgonzola Cheese.
  6. Serve with toasted sliced baguettes.
