Garlic Honey Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dip


  • 3 lbs whole wings, cut in half
  • Peanut oil for frying
  • 1 Tbsp coarse salt
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ground pepper
  • 3 oz hot chili peppers (for hot use Thai red chili, for mild use Serrano peppers)
  • 6 cloves chopped garlic
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp ketchup

Blue Cheese Dip

  • 5 oz Treasure Cave Blue cheese crumbles
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp whole milk
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste


Add 1 Tbsp salt and 1 Tbsp pepper to wings and fry in peanut oil on high heat to a golden brown, cool on drying rack

Pulse chili peppers and 3 garlic cloves in food processor

In saucepan combine chili and garlic mixture, water, vinegar, sugar and salt, simmer 10 mins

Add ketchup, sesame oil, ½ cup soy sauce, 3 chopped garlic cloves...bring to boil then turn down to simmer.

Toss wings in sauce

Blue Cheese Dip

Add 4 oz blue cheese crumbles to sour cream, mayo, milk, garlic powder, onion powder and lemon juice

Add salt and pepper to taste

Chill and serve

Garnish with remaining 2 oz blue cheese crumbles
